If you fly from the regions via London you always get an "Are you ready for your trip to London?" email. Even on a barely legal connection, I am invited to enjoy the virtues of the city I have no hope of actually visiting.
I see this as an alignment of offering between London-based travellers and connecting passengers and on that basis, I welcome it!
