Cars owned have been both manual and automatic. I actually enjoy driving a manual. All of the rentals have been manuals.

LOL!! Spain for me on the last trip - in parking garages. No charge either.
Most interesting foreign driving experience - Mexico in the late 1980s. On that trip I learned to drive a manual transmission in the mountains of Michoacan and then a few days later was driving in Mexico City when it was the largest city in the world.
