As a sidebar, I find 1B/1C on the CR2 to be reasonable too since you can stretch at least one leg out in front of you
I don't doubt your experiences, although I am curious whether you think your frequent routes have a higher concentration of DYKWIAs in general, because for me it truly is rare that I get asked to swap (although that could also be a function of me usually being in a window seat)
