Aman as a solo traveler

Hi all,

I'd be interested in getting people's views about staying at Aman properties as a solo traveler. I've never stayed at an Aman before, and my concern is that a combination of the remote locations and smaller sizes might make them too isolated for a solo traveler, and better for a couples trip. Specifically, I'm considering the Amans in Java, Bali, and Cambodia.

As background, I'm in the beginning stages of planning a birthday trip next fall to Southeast Asia. While it's possible I'd end up taking someone, my current plan is to do it solo. In that light, if anyone had recommendations for any other non-Aman luxury hotel/resort in that "neighborhood" (broad, I know) I'd also be interested in hearing it. Loosely considering stops at FS Golden Triangle, Peninsula Bangkok, and Raffles Singapore if it has reopened by then too (I did review prior threads on those). Thank you.
