In theory, once the accounts are linked, there are usually no problems, right? I'm assuming you're both talking about new accounts here...
Kind of - Actually mine was working fine with the free BA card. When I upgraded to the Premium Plus card, it stopped working until Amex fixed it manually. It's all worked fine since.
