Yikes, that's crazy. You would think they would value them somewhere around the Medallion qualification charts, i.e., $3k = 25k MQM. Compared to flying 15-20 segments to earn that many MQM (or a MR to SIN), sounds like it would be a deal for DL to get that money for doing absolutely nothing.
