Thanks. My fingertips are usually quite dry so I'll be sure to try it.

Just remembered, it took me 20+ attempts at the Macau e-channel registration machine. /facepalm

And saw an article in the Daily Mail (always good for a laugh) that was about fingerprints for security (banks, etc.) and how there's a move to more fingerprint scanning for security. It also mentioned that as you get older your fingertips become paler, which means they are much harder to scan. The takeaway was: fingertips scanning is going to be everywhere, so don't have a job that might damage/decrease fingertip ridges and don't grow old!

Still we'll all be getting new ID cards and will all be reprinted.
