As described here, LO economy plus is a nice service, and in IMHO, good value for money. The little bit of extra seat width, your own armrest, the little bit of extra recline, and your own power outlet are all nice features that do help with comfort, particularly on a day flight.

Another plus (according to what the purser told me on one flight) is that you actually get business class catering, though it comes out all at once instead of in courses. IME, the crew also tends to be very generous with alcohol portions, if that is important to you.

There are days that are lighter than others, but 4/21 is IME an unusually light load to/from ORD. When the flight is oversold, there will be op-ups from Y into Y+ as well that tend to fill the Y+.

It is a bit of a problem with most Y+ seats getting out when the seat in front is reclined, but the problem is not unique to LO (it is also a problem on CX, and LH, for example, and it is also a problem for the person who is reclined, because there is a tendency for the people behind you to grab your seatback while getting up. This is also why I tend to opt for the last row (Row 6 on an LO 788). One thing that helps a little is to recline your own seat (and ask the person who is getting up to let you out of the middle to recline their seat. One still needs to be a bit flexible to slither out. This is the penalty for the extra recline.
