There hasn't been any change to Uk laws, which prohibit flick knives, switchblades, ninja swords and other such clearly not for chopping onion, knives. It got pulled for looking like some illegal offensive weapon...

I'd not be taking my ever sharp carving knife in my hand luggage of a plane, but in the hold luggage. And you should think of the security scan at Eurostar as a hold luggage scan, rather than hand...
