The UA Chase credit card trip cancellation policy would cover the 2 tickets originating from IAH, since extreme weather is one of the covered events. However, it would probably not cover the two tickets originating from IAD. The tickets need to be purchased on the credit card (not just having the card). Call Chase for details.
The positive side is the insurance will reimburse the entire non-refundable ticket amount - better than a waiver.
