OK. So I would like to apply for the Chase Ink Preferred and I believe that I am now at 4/24 assuming my Amex Gold Business Card doesn't count. This includes 2 cards that I applied and received instantaneous approval for just last week, one of which is the Freedom Unlimited. I now have 5 Chase cards with 84K in credit. I had pro-actively cleared 10K card from one card about one month ago to get the Sapphire Preferred, but Chase killed that idea as I have the Reserve. I was given 28K with the Freedom U from which 15K was moved to the Reserve as I am contemplating making a very large travel purchase.

I have the Ink Cash with a 20K line. Experian had me at 819 before last weeks apps.

Do I have too much Chase credit to get the Ink Preferred?

Should I drop the Cash line down some before applying for the Preferred?

Do I need to wait before applying and if I so how long?

I really don't want to deal with reconsideration if I have a failed auto-approval. Would it open a can of worms if I apply and am denied and I don't follow up?

Thanks
