2.5X SPG points on Grocery purchases = 3.125FFP on grocery purchases is amazing though, so might still be worth it.
The spread-out fee&earning and the admittedly high spend requirement (though 500/month should be easy to hit) kind of inhibits churning though, as it takes out spend that could be put towards other cards.
Thanks for sharing, but requiring $6000 spend in a year (500 per month) to get 30k points (or 15k spg) is not worth it in my opinion. Factoring in the monthly fee of $10, it only becomes slightly attractive if one spends entirely $500 on 5x dining/groceries, then the total points gets to 60k per year or 30k spg.
Agreed. For families this is probably a fantastic card, to put grocery spend for 4-5 people on one 5X card to use towards SPG or SPG-FFP. For single spenders........ less so. But who are we kidding, we'll all get it anyway, if only to add it to the collection.
