If you already qualified as Globalist in the previous year, then at 55 nights you re-qualify. You also get 4 TSU's.
If you did NOT qualify in the previous year, then it takes 60 nights to qualify and get the 4 TSU's.
For 2017, nobody could have qualified in the previous year, because Globalist did not exist in 2016. So everyone has to hit 60 nights to qualify in 2017.
As a separate event, if you stay 60 nights in a year, you get a Cat 1-7 Award.
Yup exactly how I understand it. I trust the information my pl rep obtained for me more than some random front line phone rep giving information that doesn't even make any sense.
