To be sure we understand correctly, she paid for the trip with the
credit card, redeemed points for a
gift card that she has not yet used, and will receive a refund on the
credit card? This will likely give her a credit balance on the
credit card, and a negative points balance. Is she intending to spend down the credit balance by using the credit card, or to request a refund by check?
