I thought it might be better to fly straight back on A380 and go via PEK !
If you fly London-Hong Kong-Beijing-London, you cannot connect in Beijing same day because the first Cathay Dragon flight from Hong Kong arrives to Beijing late so that it does not qualify MCT.
But if you fly London-Beijing-Hong Kong-London, you can connect in Beijing same day.
