Your driving is going to be hell — lots of time in your car without moving. Philly to Bath leaving tomorrow afternoon? I wouldn't leave NYC tomorrow afternoon for Bath let alone leaving from Philly.

Day 2
US 1 to Acadia NP.
Full day in Acadia NP.
Drive to Portland, ME.
Stay at Doubletree Portland/HGI Portland Downtown/Hampton Portland Downtown/Hyatt Place Portland. (HGI or Hampton? Hampton's room looks nicer.)
You are rushing Acadia with this itinerary.

Day 3
Half day in Portland, ME.
Drive to Providence, RI. Stopping at Portsmouth, NH.
Half day in Providence, RI.
Stay at Hilton Providence.
Shocked with this one too!

Day 4
Depart early AM.
Back in PHL early PM. (Class)
To avoid traffic, you'll need to leave early.

Acadia NP would be the main event. Plus striking 3 more states off my list to bring the total to 38.

Any advice?
You will be in your car more than enjoying the places you're traveling to see. I'd fly to BGR from PHL, rent a car, and skip the hellish long-distance driving moving at a snail's pace.
