Need some help to understand the charge
Hi FT friends:
Just used BA Avios to book 3 Aer Lingus RT coaches from ORD to DUB through phone. The charge was 62400 points + $568.47 cash. And the cash breaks down into $210 + $358.47 tax/fee/charge. I was confused because I thought the points charge should be 78000. And the charge was also different from what Avios.com which shows more than $600. But the agent confirmed that is correct. I have 1 child (<6 Years) come with us. So did the agent mistakenly use Avios+Money to book my tickets or the $210 is the carrier surcharge?
