Always check that your ROP # appears on your boarding pass

When I travel Y on TG I must say that I do appreciate the little touches that come with ROP Gold. Today, travelling on a Y award ticket which I had left over from a while back, I failed to check whether my ROP details were printed on my boarding pass. Lo and behold I had to present my Gold card to enter the lounge and of course my status wasn't indicated on the flight manifest. Hence all the small touches which make the rigmarole of flying Y slightly more enjoyable were missed. I wonder whether this was a consequence of flying on a non-earning award ticket, in which case this strikes me as a particularly stupid practice when one would have thought that an award ticket is the perfect opportunity for TG to remind you about why it's worth sticking with them.
