I never said that! - please re-read my comments.
But in short; lie flat J is preferred for overnight flights, angled J for days flights is accpetable and provides a more spacious environment, and either J seat is better than Y.
Cheers, TK
Thai-Kiwi A check on EF shows the 359 operating BKK-AKL from 26 Mar 2018. Pity as Jan 18 would have been much preferred by me...
Maybe there will be a 77W on the day I am flying
Thai-Kiwi Just to correct, in Nov it is the 777-200ER with angled lie flat biz seats returning, not the 777-300.
I am truly hoping this is just a 'placeholder' and the 359 or even 788 is scheduled from upcoming Nov/Dec
Thai-Kiwi Sadly, I agree. I hold a faint hope of the 359/77W running BKK-AKL-BKK over the Dec/Jan period given that sleep is my priority for the sector BKK-AKL (Dep 1845, Arr 1045).
Thai-Kiwi But 12 hours in Y is a long time, I am unlikely to to go in Y since I seem to get an adequate sleep even on the angled/flat seats in 'lazy-boy-recliner' mode. Luckily I am a 'back-sleeper'... The 772ER J seats are actually quite spacious compared to the 359/77W - just not truly flat.
