These Flexifares really are good. Given that these days flexibility in a ticket usually causes a very high price difference (with the other carriers anyway), these are often a bargain.
Maybe there are routes/cases where it makes sense - but I've never seen the point of a Flexifare.
On the rotue of most interest to me [AMS-BER], Flexifares are often as much as triple/quadruple the regular price.
The prices below are for AMS-SXF; you can buy a "Flex" KLM economy fare for not much more than some of those "Flexi" prices, with far less restrictions on when to rebook - and which can be fully refunded (not clear to me that Flexi fares can be refunded or not).
The €8 "saving" on flying to SXF would be nobbled by the exta price/time of travelling to/from that airport in my case, anyway.
