Called to cancel my SPG Personal Amex
$20K spend annually
This year, they offered a $100 credit which I accepted.
Last year they only offered me a $30 credit which I reluctantly accepted (since I was staying at a lot of Starwood hotels).
I already have a Chase Sapphire Reserve, but offsetting the annual fee makes this card worth it to me. Starpoints are still pretty valuable currency, and based on my redemption habits I usually get at least 3% back in value. So my CSR will get all my dining and non-SPG travel expenses, and the SPG Amex will get everything else.
