Are you staying at the Intercontinental Hotel in Marseille? It's a nice property.
If you have a free day, go into the Provence countryside ... like Arles or Aix-en-Provence. Very easy with the train.
I didn't know about the 777 either - not sure if it is every day or not (thought they strictly went to Asia).
Layover 2.5 hrs - will for sure hit the lounge.
Not sure which hotel yet - there are 3 of us arriving in MRS at different times, so the thought was an airport hotel-seems like a bit of distance from airport to 'downtown.' We actually will be headed to Manosque (but only for a day for our meeting).
Unfortunately didn't really plan any time in the itinerary for sightseeing.
