It was an interesting experience and highlights the way other airlines do things differently. Other than the hellacious seat cover colors and the different seat map that took me out of my favored 11a exit row, I enjoyed the free soft drinks and packet of walkers crisps. Free beer available on request (my neighbor got thru 4 in 90 mins on a 10.30am departure).
Hardly a word from the fight deck during the flight, and a very early "crew seats for landing" announcement (MUC-LHR) - we had barely crossed the channel. No timing annoucements. BA's embarrassment for this arrangement perhaps clear by the fact we were on a T5B bus gate, and not one Qatar a320 on a T5A gate (other Qatar a320's littered around T5B/C).
