November is not cold in Amalfi coast, but it can be rainy.

Actually is the rainiest month of the year, which is not saying too much since we are experiencing a drought going on for at least 6 months.

Many restaurants or shops will be shut, but naturally you won't starve.
All in all if I had to choose between the summer season madness and november I'd go for the latter without a second thought.
