I have some SEA-SFO and some flights SEA-elsewhere which I could make on VX instead of AS to use up credit. I'd prefer to get AS credit for them (EQM; obviously points to RDM is easy), but I'd also like my VX Gold status used (upgrades to MCS and then pay upgrade MCS-to-F).

Is there a solution? I was thinking of booking on VX, getting upgrade processed, then substituting my AS MP number for my VX FF number before taking the actual flight.
