Preferred seating towards the front of the main cabin is available for purchase during the booking process for an additional fee ranging from $10-$40 per seat, per flight segment. Preferred seats are free for main cabin refundable, Elevate Gold, and Elevate Silver guests. Seats are limited, subject to availability, and may not be available on all flights. Prices are subject to change. Guests that purchase a preferred seat on thru flights (a one-way flight with a stop between the origin and destination on the same plane) pay for one flight segment for the thru flight. Guests that purchase preferred seating on connecting flights, where the guest is required to change planes, pay for each flight segment (i.e., each plane change). Preferred seats do not include priority security and boarding unless purchased separately. Not eligible for purchase with Elevate points or for Elevate points earning, cannot be applied to Elevate partner redemption bookings.
Preferred seating fees paid are only refundable within the first 24 hours of making your reservation if purchased at the time of booking. If you cancel your reservation or purchase preferred seating more than 24 hours after booking, preferred seating fees are non-refundable and non-transferable to other passengers or new bookings. If the event of involuntary denied boarding or the flight is cancelled by Virgin America, the value of the preferred seating fee will be refunded to the original form of payment. Unreserved preferred seats will be released 24 hours prior to departure and available to all Main Cabin guests for no additional fee.
