What an interesting trip. I inquired about a Sofia - Istanbul rail trip a few years ago, and was told that it was not possible. How did you find the Crown Plaza? It looks quite nice and easy access to the airport. In March I was looking for a place but did not see this property, so must be brand new? The Holiday Inn where I stayed was about 40 Euros and I see now that it is selling for 100Euro?? I thought that the hotel prices were still down.
