That's different. At JNB no one checks if you have a visa for Mozambique. Whether anyone at DOH would check I don't know. Some countries don't allow TWOV if you are doing a return to the same country.
According to TIMATIC DOH-MPM-DOH is allowed but I would confirm before trying it.
