Thanks both for your help, I appreciate the clarification! I'll go through passport control, head over to the Arrivals Lounge, then go to T2 right after. I only have to go through a security screen one time then, correct - at T2 for the SAS flight? I will be in and out of the UK 3-4x that week from Nordic countries so hopefully the passport folks won't get too sick of me =)
I just did a D1 LHR T3 arrival 3 weeks ago with a connection on a domestic BA out of T5. Had 4+ hr layover. Used Virgin Arrivals Lounge for shower and change of clothes. Many beautiful shower rooms, so no waiting. Lounge otherwise small, packed, and fairly stuffy. Not really conducive to a leisurely snack and lounging. The “old” DL arrivals lounge that I used last fall (just before it closed) had fewer showers, but better seating which made waiting a couple of hours for a business associate to arrive tolerable.
