St Pancras is co-located with KGX. Euston is ~.5 miles away - if bag dragging or the weather is meh, could be a pain. That said, Piccadilly Line to street level can be done step free and there's no shortage of taxis to get over to Euston if the weather is garbage. And likely far cheaper than the HEX and a taxi from Paddington.
Very easy walk though, no real crossings or roundabouts. I've done it with luggage without blinking. Agree on Tube vs HEX.
