I would always go for kiosks. The risk with an agent is you'll ask to change your FF details, and then the agent will figure out that you are no longer entitled to E+/extra bags/group 2/etc., and so you end up boarding last in a terrible E- middle and paying extra for your baggage. If at all possible, use a machine to avoid any potential confrontation on that issue until the gate (at which point I can't imagine a GA would bother changing your seat assignment).
