I enjoyed visiting it several times a few years back (perhaps 2013?), and there were very nice snacks (far better than the typical domestic lounge), great complimentary drinks/bar service, and the place still seemed fairly new.
I returned last week to find almost no snacks, only house beer/wine complimentary offerings (liquor and premium drinks were for sale only), significantly worn furnishings, and filthy bathrooms. Admittedly, the runway views are nice, but it's amazing how far the place has fallen. Over the same period, other domestic airline lounges seem to have been adding services, rather than taking them away.
While some may be disappointed with the Loft's closure for nostalgic reasons, the Alaska Lounge in T6 should actually be a significant improvement, as long as overcrowding doesn't become a problem.
I was at in the lounge on Tuesday, the only food option was one brown banana.
