"I could catch a taxi from HAV airport to Varadero hotel 60CUC one-way."
Interesting.
That is a 2 to 2 1/2 hour drive for 60CUC?
The regular taxi charge from Varadero airport into town is 30CUC, maybe a 20 minute ride, and drivers will not bargain.
Just reinforces how much a tourist gets ripped off by taxis in Cuba.
My English needs to be improved Anyway I want to share my latest experience wishing this will help someone.

Yes, it took about 2.5 hours. I just was lucky for taking a taxi (Hyundai car) not waiting in a cue but return to Matanzas.
A taxi agent arranged it with a quick conversation and took a taxi driver to us. He offered 100CUC, I asked for 60CUC and got it. That was all in 1 minutes.

I heard HAV Airport -> City (30min) is 25 CUC flat rate.
I also took a classic car taxi from City to HAV airport for 25CUC without negotiation (I had no choice) at early morning 6 AM.

The other taxi rides I had...
6 CUC from Plaza de Amas to La Cabana (10min)
8 CUC from Morror Castle to Plaza de Armas
These are also classic cars. I needed to talk to a couple of drivers to get this price.
