I booked the more expensive BA fare in the end and submitted my claim to the Best Price Guarantee form. Just had notification that it has been accepted and I'll be getting a refund of £103.
This was despite the cheaper price (via Carlton Leisure) not showing the exact booking class. which I thought could cause them to deny my claim. So pretty happy with that!
