I'm adding my data point for SPG Personal... Just 1 year with the card, probably a couple thousand max over the minimum spend.
I called to cancel and the CSR looked into what she could do, but offered *nothing*. Then I asked if I could transfer my credit to my EDP card. She transferred me to someone else to do that. Then after this guy reallocated credit, I said I wanted to cancel, and he said let me see if we can get someone to offer something... He transferred me, and the next girl offered 10k SPG points!
Also offered $75 credit as a different option (but with a $2k minimum spend). Obviously I took the 10k points.
