I applied during the May 2016 100k MR leaked offer so I have an annual fee coming up. I did about $6k spend on PERS PLAT and about $12k in spend on a different Amex card (BCE) so I'm not sure if total Amex spend volume was taken into account. Offered $300 or 30k points. No spend requirement. I still have a bunch of MR points and can't seem to burn them easily, so I took the cash. Either way, very pleased with the retention bonus. Good luck!
