Just anecdotal, but I would tend to pick:
CLT, DTW, MSP, IAH, DEN, PHX, SEA
as the large hubs that tend to operate very well most days.
The largest cities are all obviously congested, and it leaves little room for errors if the schedules get impacted, as would be expected. This includes NYC (all three), DCA/IAD, ORD, LAX, SFO
The megahub cities (ATL, DFW, ORD) are called megahubs for a reason, and hence have little room for error as well.
This leaves the list above which are all airport hubs in large cities with lots of flights, but also enough wiggle room to recover in their schedule if things go astray. By no means are they immune to problems, but I generally have had less issues over the years at those major airports.
