On summer weekends along Highway CA1:
I stayed at the Super 8 Monterey (renovated, pretty nice actually); GoFast is (now) $65 + 3,000pt vs a cash rate of $189. Other hotels in Monterey have similar co-pay vs cash rate advantages.
Weekdays in San Francisco:
the cash co-pay has gone up, but you still get a big discount, co-pay is $85-115 + pts vs cash rates close to $200
