Interestingly AER LINGUS staff told me they charge EUR2000 flat fee, always. They have a bidding system you need to use but I couldnt as it was a codeshare flight.
My experience last year was that Aer Lingus has a bidding system in place. It may transpire you do need virtually 2k to actually win as they are usually chock full flights but it could concievably vary.
