I have yet to need an extender, but it has been way too close once or twice due to stupidly short seatbelts - in F/J no less. They all just seem 100% inconsistent, even in D1 at times which is bizarre.
I've found the new-ish seatbelts with the airbags to be the absolute worst in terms of length. Particularly the D1 belts on the intl 767s - they are probably 7-8" shorter than any others in the fleet.
