I used the "i am reevaluating my need for this card, because i have 3 Amex annual fees to pay".... She quickly offered the points or $25 statement credit, adding that the points were the best deal.
I had my husband call a few days later for his SPG personal card and they told him he had no offers and mentioned that he had not used his card lately. He has been working to meet the min spend on the SPG biz card bonus. So we are going to put a few charges on the SPG personal and call back in a couple of weeks.
Maybe try and call back.
