I'd also like to offer the suggestion of
the Portofino Hotel in Redondo Beach, California.
mrs. iapetus and I have been there a couple of times and really enjoy it. The attached restaurant is pretty good, too.
We typically try to spend a night at a hotel for our anniversary, which is in June. I'll be looking to stay at the Portofino this year (though I was running into minimum stay issues
). If that doesn't work out, we may go to the Langham ... even though it is oddly close to home (we live in the neighborhood, so I don't know how much it'll feel as though we're really getting away
).
