Update on this:

I tried to call in to get the discrepency fixed. CSR advised they can only access "contract" rates, not publicly available rates. I asked to be transferred to a supervisor or customer service to issue a complaint. The CSR put me on hold, coming back every 5-10 minutes to see if i was still waiting. Terrible behavior by what i am sure is an outsourced call center that is scored on not escalating calls.

Oddly, as i sat on hold and toyed around with the portal (tried searching for flights in first class, then tried adjusting the parameters), eventually ending up back at the original search, my flights came back at the desired price.

So some of this seems to be portal non-functionality rather than deliberate shenanigans. Used to get this with starwood flights as well.

Still lousy though.
