I am flying American CRJ-900 to CLT and a 737 to EWR
Interesting comments on this routing above.... I now proactively book AA through CLT on CHS-EWR or EWR-CHS when my option is Commutair. F on AA is literally the SAME price as Y on UA, and I know I'm getting to my destination. If I'm delayed anywhere, there are multiple flights almost on the hour.
When dealing with Commutair, I know I'm getting a delay over 50% of the time. Plus, on the way back to EWR, add 15-20 minutes for gate check bags on the 145 once you arrive on UA. Can walk them off on AA.
