EY/AUH is not in the list of Middle East connection exceptions for Europe to Asia/South Pacific. So to fly LHR-AUH-SYD for example will require 2 awards.

What about JL? Europe to South Pacific via Asia 1 or Asia 2 has always been ok. So LHR-HND-SYD is fine as one award, I've personally booked that exact routing myself one time. JL doesn't fly HND-AKL, that I'm aware of.
