i would not be surprised. Bodrum has very little off-season, and if they keep it open year round there is no way they can handle expenses. If they close for winter there is still a lot of upkeep for a property such as Amanruya.
Bodrum has always been the choice of mainly Turkish vacationers when it comes to high class properties, international visitors usually choose more middle class properties and boats. And while you see lots of news and hype around MO in Turkey, I don't hear or remember Aman ever being talked about.
They do 0 PR locally, and Bodrum has a long way to go in terms of being a luxury destination choice internationally.
