I'm currently booked on an X award, I requested w/ the business saver amount of miles deducted from my account. There are 2 seats left in J, and I'm about to check-in for the flight. Should I be at the top of the waitlist, even ahead of those w/ status (unless they are doing the same thing I am doing)? Will the system automatically place me with PR-1 status, or is it necessary to call United / speak to a gate agent?
