I'm no fan of Venture as it's just a cashback card with less flexibility. There are free 2% cashback cards that have no redemption restrictions. Venture cardholders pay an annual fee for the "privelege" of having redemptions restricted to travel expenditures. Kudos to Cap One marketing department.
