I am looking for Shanghai - Guangzhou (one way), I can see availability on the United Airlines site with Air China so I think there is availability. It says 15k miles and £5.80 taxes. Would it be the same amount of miles with Virgin?
Unfortunately it's no-go for you, Air China awards using VS miles are
only available on the LHR-PEK route on roundtrip.
Mind you, CA F between LHR-PEK is widely known as one of the best (if not the best) value awards you can get on VS.
