There are a couple reports on reddit by users who have provided updates to this. While auto-loads no longer get bonus points, manual reloads continue to code as TRAVEL.
My NY EZ-Pass auto-refreshed overnight. Once the transaction clears, I'll let you know if it codes as travel again.
